A 21-year old Bonners Ferry woman suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after a single vehicle rollover Monday morning near Naples.
According to Boundary County Sheriff chief deputy Rich Stevens, Christine Arendt was traveling south on U.S. 95 near milepost 494 at about 8:40 a.m. June 26 when she lost control of her Ford Explorer and rolled. Arendt was ejected and was pinned beneath the vehicle when it came to rest about 60-feet off the roadway. She was trapped for approximately 20-minutes before an extrication team from Boundary Volunteer Ambulance were able to free her.
A Med-Star helicopter transported her to Kootenai Medical Center.
According to Stevens, it appears that a tire blew out, causing the accident.
